Alli: I am satisfied with the transition from 2021 to 2022. I use birthdays and new years as clues for reflection, evaluation, and planning. Other than that, I don't have much attachment to numbers.

Charlotte: I think I followed a somewhat typical path to get through the insecurities of adolescence and tried to reshape a developing body that I didn't want. When I started to study psychology in my undergraduate degree, I ended up doing research on body image, eating behavior, and eating disorders. The more literature I read, the more I realized the consistency of the study (in terms of dieting does not lead to long-lasting weight loss), and the inconsistency of public information about weight loss with what the researchers knew. Alli: My experience makes me linger, and sometimes it means feeling "uncomfortable" and "nonsense". In fact, my body has been trying to get me into menopause, which is very uncomfortable! Menstruation is no longer predictable. I easily and unpredictably become irritable. I sometimes have hot flashes and pimples. My body has become a geometric shape that no longer fits clothes. To be honest, I think that most of the time it's funny (in a twisted way) and I try to grow old with clumsy elegance.
I think the basic principle that helped me accept physical changes is: My obstetrician and gynecologist has information and pictures about the natural progression of the female body every ten years. So, I am not frightened by what is happening. I'm going according to plan. In addition, I am very grateful for my body to recover from all the rough diets I have done to it, from years of exercise abuse and eating disorders, and for not taking good care of it when I was young. Charlotte: Allie, I think I've learned to be patient when I'm not feeling well. I know that we all have "nonsense" times. I know that sometimes it is related to my own behavior (for example, whether I have time to exercise in the last few days), but sometimes my body is just doing its own stuff. It may be hormones, or I often think I'm just tired. A good night’s sleep, some pleasant exercises, and time to relax with friends have greatly helped my mental state and physical feelings. However, no one likes to feel uncomfortable.
We can continue to discuss our thoughts on body image and dieting. Finally, let us provide some ideas for you to consider-especially on days when you may feel "uncomfortable" and "nonsense" about your body. Although we all think of ourselves as women, the following content can help any gender.
